Wolverhampton Education Business Partnership Work Experience Support Services
Supporting schools with the delivery of the Curriculum, the teaching of musical instruments and playing music with others.
Counselling and Therapeutic Support
This support is underpinned by child-focused approaches to understanding and addressing children and young people’s social and emotional needs, promoting emotional well being and promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Counselling and therapeutic support can be an essential element of support planning for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Educational Psychology Service
Educational Psychologists provide schools with advice regarding learning, behaviour, emotional and social development, and mental health; assessment of needs; and planned interventions to promote learning and support psychological wellbeing.
The service seeks to work proactively with schools to ensure there is early identification of children who might benefit from support and a graduated response following an assess, plan, do, review process in order to meet their needs. Schools will be expected to have engaged with the Educational Psychology Service in advance of seeking a statutory assessment so that the assessment can be based on appropriate evidence already collected and supported by the psychologist working with the school.
Key Holding Service
The Key Holding Service is available to schools to give protection to existing school key holders by offering an alternative service.
This will reduce the number of times school key holders are called out to the school in the event of an alarm activation and to ensure that, if they are called out, they are not alone.
It also prevents the school key holder being called out, especially for false alarms.
